80’s Music
Every week at our worship experience we are featuring a new segment called Random Facts about the Ritchies. This will give you some tasty tidbits that you may otherwise never know about us, or maybe never wanted to know about us.
This weeks is… We are hooked on 80’s music. I don’t know how this got started, but for better or worse its happened. I swore to myself that after escaping the eighties in my late teens that I would never go back. Now here I am smack dab in the middle of the them again. It does help now with these little tweenies wearing blue jean skirts with leggings, flats, tight fitted jeans, whats next leg warms and Cindi Lauper making a come back album. Beth and her girl friends are already planning to see the New Kids On The Block tour when it hits town. So yes, never say never. Once again I’ve learned this lesson. I have learned some new things listening to 80’s music again: Slash could really play some mean guitar riffs impaired on drugs and alcohol, Def Leopard could not keep their lyrics in line with there music in Rocket, and probably some of Beth & Jason’s favorite groups from the 80’s are now Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and Pat Benatar. I guess this gives me an excuse to get U2 old Sunday Bloody Sunday album again. So if you see me driving down the street just remember… “I can’t drive 55!”. All I wanna do is rock!
