The Daily Journey:  What the journey is all about.

We all have a story to tell and a journey to share.  In several place the apostle Paul says to follow his example as he follows Christ’s example (1 Corinthians 11:1).  I in no way want to set myself up as being on the same level as the apostle Paul.  I do know that Jesus has brought me through many things and taught me alot about this life with God that Jesus has given us.  In this blog all I am going to be discussing every day is the things God has shown me or is showing.  I hope this encourages you in your seeking after God the father.

The one thing God has shown me lately and that I want you to think about as we discuss these things of Jesus and His Spirit living in us is found in Ephesians 2:10:
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

This verse is saying many things but primarily God showed me that there are things that I encounter everyday that he has prepared in advance for me to do.  The things of this life are not accidents.  The good things in life were prepared for us by God for us to do and enjoy.  God is not a celestial sledgehammer and your the anvil that he is getting ready to pound, but a loving father who has prepared good things for your life.

Also the choice is up to you to follow in his ways and enjoy the good life that he has prepared for us.  The translation above is the NIV and is misses the verb tense from the Greek in the later part of the verse.  It should read that we are created in Christ Jesus that we should do good works, that God has prepared for us to do.  The should is left out of the translation for easier reading, but is very important for us to know that it is up to us to hear God speak, see the things that he has prepared for us and follow him down his path.  To join his journey and discover the good things he has for us is the greatest thing we can do in life.  In this blog I want to share some of the things that he has already shown me that can help you.  Your circumstances maybe different but the principles of God’s word and the Spirit are the same.

Please write me if you are frustrated or have questions in some of the things that I share or that you maybe encountering in life.  I would love to go into detail with anything you may want to know.  Also I would love to pray for you in specific ways so that we can see God do great things in your life together.  If there are things you may want to ask or need help with that you don’t want to share here in this blog you can go to the Get More Info part of the website and email me there.  It comes directly to me (Pastor Jason) and will be held confidentially.

Follow Him,

Jason
